Bob Johnson To Open Factories In Haiti
US Black billionaire Bob Johnson’s investment company RLJ Companies has partnered with Global Building Solutions to form Caribbean Opportunity Holdings in order to manufacture quick and cost effective mass housing for the over 1 million displaced Haitians in Port Au Prince and the surrounding areas. In addition, the two factories will build hurricane and earthquake resistant panels for housing on the island.
In the short term, this is a very sound venture as these materials are a necessity on an island prone to natural disasters. In the long term, this venture will empower citizens and provide much needed employment. One question. Where are the other wealthy Blacks in the US that are stepping up? Just curious.
