Art Imitates Life
The aftermath of the Haitian earthquake has given artists in Port Au Prince and the surrounding areas a new lease on life. The ruin and rubble generated by the quake has taken on a quasi-positive role; serving as the fresh paint and canvas and providing affected artisans the raw materials and themes to get catharsis from the disaster through their new works.
